A routing profile is a rule list read in order, and the editor's job is to make that order visible.

Two editors for two configuration file formats. Each one loads a file you already have, or starts a minimal profile from nothing, and exposes proxies, matching criteria, and routing actions as separate fields instead of raw markup. Everything is read and written in this browser tab and the result downloads locally. The editors never apply a configuration; they only produce a file for the application to load.

Two formats that are not interchangeable

Proxifier Profile Editor works on .ppx profiles and covers proxies, chains, options, and rules. It asks you to pick v2 or v3 when you create a profile and reports the detected version when you upload one, because the two schemas differ enough that a file written for the wrong version will not load cleanly.

ProxyBridge Profile Editor works on .pbprofile JSON, covering proxies and routing rules, with a macOS sample and a cross-platform or CLI field style. Pick the style that matches the build that will import the file. The two applications model routing differently, so there is no meaningful conversion between their profiles; a rule set has to be re-expressed rather than translated.

What actually breaks a profile

The two recurring faults are a dangling reference and an order mistake. A rule pointing at a proxy or chain that was deleted cannot route anything, and since rules are evaluated top to bottom with the first match winning, a broad rule sitting above a specific one silently swallows it. Read the list in the order the application will, before you download.

Credentials live inside these files. Nothing is uploaded and nothing is stored between visits, but a .ppx or .pbprofile containing a proxy password is a secret in the shape of a configuration file. Do not leave it sitting in a downloads folder on a shared machine, and keep it in a secret manager if it has to be kept at all.

Scope, and a note on affiliation

This site is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the makers of Proxifier or ProxyBridge. Proxifier and ProxyBridge are trademarks of their respective owners, referenced here only to identify the file formats these editors read and write.

A valid profile says nothing about whether the endpoints in it answer. Test the proxies themselves with the Batch Proxy Checker under Network Tools, and only route traffic through proxies and destinations you own or are explicitly authorized to use.

Before you rely on a result

  • Confirm every rule points at a proxy or chain that still exists in the profile after your edits.
  • Read the rules top to bottom the way the application will, since the first match wins and a broad rule above a specific one hides it.
  • Check that the format variant, Proxifier v2 against v3 or the ProxyBridge field style, matches the build that will load the file.
  • Treat a downloaded profile containing proxy credentials as a secret, and remove it from shared or borrowed devices.
  • Test the proxy endpoints separately before relying on the profile, because valid syntax is not connectivity.

Frequently asked questions

Are you affiliated with Proxifier or ProxyBridge?

No. This site is independent and is not endorsed by or sponsored by either vendor. The names are used only to identify the profile formats these editors read and write, and both remain trademarks of their respective owners.

Which Proxifier version should I choose?

Match the application that will open the file. When you upload an existing profile the editor reports the version it detected, so keep that unless you are deliberately migrating. When creating one from scratch, choose the version your installed build uses rather than the newest available.

Can I convert a Proxifier profile into a ProxyBridge one?

Not automatically, because the two applications model proxies, chains, and rule matching differently enough that a mechanical conversion would produce a profile that loads and routes incorrectly. Recreate the rules in the target editor and verify the order yourself.

Is my profile uploaded when I open it here?

No. The file is parsed in this browser tab, edited in the form, and written back to a local download. Nothing is transmitted to a server and nothing persists between visits, so an unsaved profile is lost when you close the page.
